12/31/2023 0 Comments Desenio gallery wall layout![]() ![]() Torties are recognised in Black, Blue, Chocolate and Cinnamon, where the other two colours present in the coat will be red and cream the Lilac and Fawn torties where the other colour will be cream and finally the Caramel tortie which will also have apricot hairs. In the early days judges looked for patches of colour in Black Torties, yet looked for mingled colour in the Blue Cream! Because the colour distribution is random Torties simply cannot be bred to order and so the breeding of Torties is very much a ‘lucky dip’ you have to take what you are given! I am totally in love with the final product! It turned out even better than I imagined and it added a warmth to the room that I hadn’t even realized was lacking.Though they are genetically mosaics, the description of Tortoiseshell or Tortie cats as “having bits and pieces of colour here and there” is far more apt, albeit not very technical! The colour distribution in Torties may be ‘patched’ or ‘mingled’. The frames are super lightweight, so hanging the art was a breeze! Visualizing the pieces on the wall before doing any of the mounting really helped!Īt first I was going to use Command hooks, but at the end I just used nails in the wall! Easy, efficient, to the point. I did some research and found that ordering the frames through Desenio was the most affordable option, plus it guaranteed that all of my frames went together and that the art would fit inside perfectly! Hanging Tipsįirst of all– use the inserts to plan the layout and spacing. You can even do clips instead! Framing can be a pricey part of putting together a gallery wall. I ended up screenshotting the layout I liked and then screenshotting the art I was interested in and playing with the layout in Canva to curate the assortment of pieces and layout that I felt worked the best together. I perused the suggested layout ideas for inspiration and chose one of the medium gallery wall layout options. I love that you can search by color, you can browse prints by type and vibe, etc. I chose a mix of abstract pieces, sketches and watercolors that looked good together.
